There are three things that I have been thinking about lately:
I have been talking with friends - much more – because we have the time! And what many of us are saying is that we are enjoying a reprieve from “Time Pressure”. As my Dad used to say when he retired, “I wake up in the morning with nothing to do and by noon, I’m half done.” I am finding that I am waking up in the morning with things to do, lots of time to do it, and I’m not getting anything done?! But I am en-Joying it and finding Joy in my day.
During the last 20 years, there have been a lot of changes in our lives. Right now, we have time to pause – reflect – think – and re-evaluate those changes in our lives and consider how we want to move forward.
For many of us, this time is giving us a break from the busy-ness of our lives. We are getting completely away from our normal daily patterns. We have never had an opportunity like this. And it gives us the time and space to take a look at our lives. It offers a transition and an opportunity to move from doing to being.
In this time and space, the question that comes up for me is – what gives meaning to my life.
What gives meaning to your life?
We hope you will let us know, on this blog what you’re thinking and we’ll continue the discussion!
