Reaching 'Out'
As a way to support the Affirming Ministry at Brechin United, a few individuals from our congregation who are also members of the LGBTQ community will be hosting a monthly group called Reaching 'Out'. The group will focus on welcoming newcomers to Brechin and also to provide outreach to others from the LGBTQ community in the Nanaimo area. If you are new to Brechin United Church or even a bit curious please consider joining us. Please note that family members, friends and allies (supporters) are also very welcome!! The purpose of Reaching 'Out' is to offer supportive space to connect, meet new people, build community, socialize, have fun, join in discussions on topics of interest (including guest speakers and films), and will be on the first Wednesday evening of each month in the Fellowship Hall at the church. Please join us for coffee/tea and some tasty goodies on Wednesday, December 2 at 7:30pm, Fellowship Hall, Brechin United Church. This will be our first night and we are hoping that you will share your vision for what you would like to see this group offer. Bring your ideas and come out and connect!!!
